			<description><![CDATA[I was sorry to read in the paper of Wayne's passing.  Many memories came back when I read that.  Wayne came into Eastman Drug every day at least once.  That would be about 4:45 PM because that is when the Daily Republic would be delivered.  Everyday he would buy a newspaper and I know he read it cover to cover, thanks to Mrs. Just.  Also once in awhile he would come in more often to have a root beer at the soda fountain.  When you gave his change back he always studied the coins very closely to see if he got a "good one".  Dad quite often would have him sweep the sidewalk at the drugstore to give him a little spending money.  I was also amazed at his memory.  A few years ago my sister & I were back in Platte visiting & met him on the street.  He greeted us both by name even though it had been years since we'd seen him.
